Olive oil


Fried onion paste

Two tablespoon curd

Garlic ginger paste

Fresh salmon cut into pieces

Tomato paste


Red chili powder

Chopped green chilies

Fresh Lemon juice

Salt to taste

Mint leaves

This salmon recipe is extremely simple to make and takes less time as well. However, this does not mean that one has to compromise on the taste or richness of the food.

Steps To Make The Recipe

Now that you have all the ingredients in hand, let’s take a look at the steps to make recipe. Mix in Salmon, curd, Haldi, red chili powder, garlic ginger paste, and a bit of salt together in a bowl and let it sit for 15 minutes. This is the minimum marinating time for a quick salmon recipe; however, the longer you marinate it, the better the taste will be. Therefore some people like to prepare well in advance, giving the Salmon a few hours to marinate.

While the Salmon is marinating, we can work on the sauce. Turn on the heat and place a pan on the stove. Add some oil or butter and follow it up with some ginger garlic paste. Add chopped green chilies and cook well for 2 minutes. Now add the paste of fried onion and tomatoes, follow it up with salt according to taste and let the sauce cook for 5 to 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat.

Take the marinated Salmon and shallow fry it until it is cooked well. Now fold the Salman in the sauce that was prepared earlier and squeeze fresh lime over it.

This dish can be served with fresh mint leaves and is great for an evening snack.


It is super easy to make and requires only 20 minutes of cooking. This dish will be crunchy from the outside and super soft from the inside, which melts in the mouth type. Minimal cooking time will not compromise the taste because it is full of flavors and is super aromatic. Make sure that you are using fresh Salmon. The onion paste that we are using for cooking should be fried very well, and sour curd should be avoided. Some people also like freshly grated coconut over the Salmon recipe, so it is also a good option to try out. If using this option, one should try inculcating coconut oil instead of olive oil or butter because it will add to the salmon recipe’s richness.
