1. First Rule of Healthy Eating

The first thing you should remember to follow a healthy diet is that it is necessary to include all food groups , although in the right proportion depending on the sex, weight, height, age and activities of each person. The basic nutrients that you must include are: carbohydrates, proteins and fats.  

2. The Foods that Should Make your Diet

In order for your body to obtain the necessary nutrients every day, you must include the following food groups in your diet :

  • Dairy products: milk, cheese or yogurt.
  • Meats, eggs, fish, seafood, nuts.
  • Vegetables and fruits.
  • Bread, pasta, rice and vegetable biscuits.

These foods should be included in the diet in a balanced way taking into account the quantities that we can eat of each food to respect a healthy diet.  

3. Eat Five Times a Day

To avoid eating too much at each meal, eat 5 times a day: breakfast, mid-morning, lunch, snack and dinner. At mid-morning and mid-afternoon you can take a piece of fruit, a yogurt or an infusion. It is important not to skip any food.  

4. Breakfast is the Most Important Meal on the Day

Although in the morning you are in a hurry it is important that you spend a while to have a good breakfast, it will give you energy for the whole day. The most advisable thing is to avoid pastries and opt for whole grain bread, cereals, fruit, tea or coffee without sugar or brown sugar.  

5. Avoid Salt

Excess salt in food can affect your heart, so take care of salt intake. You can choose to replace it with spices or by consuming low sodium salt. Remember that precooked foods have more salt and more fat.  

6. Eat Fresh Vegetables and Fruits

To follow a healthy diet includes vegetables and fresh fruits in your diet. It is advisable to take about 2-3 daily servings of fruit and 2-3 of vegetables per day. Fruits and vegetables will be your best allies to detoxify your body.  

7. Go to a Nutrition Specialist

8. Make the Shopping List and Organize your Meals Weekly
