When we go out to dinner, most of the ingredients we consume are made with artificial ingredients. So many of the products have artificial preservatives and coloring agents. We tend to be sedentary, so there is a big connection between the use of artificial ingredients and obesity.
There are many healthy soup recipes that use a variety of natural ingredients. A great soup that doesn’t use ingredients that contain artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives are Dijon and Olive Oil Crock Pot Italian Dressing.
It’s a favorite of mine, but if you’re using it to make soup, why not include some good old-fashioned olive oil. The recipes for homemade cooking always call for good old-fashioned olive oil.
One of the nutritious soup recipes that don’t use any artificial ingredients is my Slow Cooker One-Pot Creamy Vegetable Soup. This soup is rich and healthy.
One of the healthier soup recipes is one of my favorites – low-fat Chana Masala. This Indian curry dish is delicious. It uses coconut milk as a base and then adds chicken stock to keep the whole thing creamy.
There are many other healthy soup recipes that are available to the family that can be prepared in a slow cooker. These soups are so good that I usually find myself coming back for seconds.

Not only does a food pyramid diet discourage children from having vegetables, fruit, and whole grains, but it discourages eating soup. While there are many other real nutritious thy foods that are good for us, soup isn’t one of them.
