You will need: One package of Power Oats (or more), dried cranberries, one pack of dry blueberries, one pack of dry strawberries, and two tablespoons of honey. You can use whatever fruit you like, but I personally like strawberries.
Making Power Oats
To make Power Oats, first you will mix up the contents of your 1 yellow and one red bowl by breaking up your foods. Then you will add them to your blender or food processor. You can use a food processor, a blender, or your hand. It doesn’t matter too much as long as you blend them really well. You can also add fruit onto top as well in your purple container!
One very important thing to remember when creating 21 day recipes is that you should have portions limits set for yourself. This means that you must be certain that you know how much you can eat within a given day. This will help to keep you from overeating, and it will make you think twice about portions that are too small. Make Some Black Bean Dip
For this 21 day fix I decided to make some black bean dip. I love black beans, and this would be a good time to include them in a meal. I found some whole wheat bread at the grocery store and decided to make a sandwich cookie with it. I used reduced fat sour cream instead of cream cheese, and substituted vegetable oil for oil. You could make this sandwich cookie using whole wheat bread if you don’t have any, and just substitute vegetable oil for the sour cream. The reduced fat sour cream makes a delicious alternative to the full-cream cheese that most sandwich cookies use.
For the 21-day fix I decided to make a salad that incorporated shredded chicken and two types of cooked vegetables. I found a variety of greens at the grocery store and also found that I didn’t have to look too far to add my other ingredients. I used balsamic vinegar, dried oregano, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and a bit of table salt. The whole mixture was made up into a blender, and then I added my additional ingredients.
Mixing All The Ingredients
Once I had put together all of my ingredients it was simply a matter of mixing them all together. Once everything was blended well it was time to shake it all together. I used one section at a time and mixed it very carefully. This is very important with 21-day fix lunch recipes since the prep work is so much easier when you can focus on the actual cooking. Once the shake was well blended I placed it in my large glass zip lock plastic containers and sealed it up. I knew that I had created enough for my freezer so that whenever I wanted to use it I would be able to have a delicious lunch.
